Adaptive Nonparametric CUSUM Control Chart with Variable Sampling Interval Strategy

In this paper, we propose a nonparametric CUSUM control chart for detecting a range of shifts in the location parameters based on previous research. This control chart is dynamically adaptive, ranks method-based nonparametric and self-starting; it can monitor various sizes of shifts in difference distributions simultaneously; and it can be used to monitor processes at the start-up stages. This control chart is designed with variable sampling interval technology, which makes it more intelligent and sensitive. Simulation study of reference parameters values and performance comparisons are introduced in detail, so as to conveniently apply this chart to practical production process monitoring. An illustrative chemical example is also present to demonstrate the well implementation of this chart. Keywords— Variable sampling interval, Adaptive control chart, CUSUM, Nonparametric scheme.
